How do I conduct spot trading?

Spot trading is the exchange of one digital asset for another. Using the ETH/BTC pair as an example, ETH is the asset you're buying or selling, and BTC is the asset used to price it. In simple terms, you use BTC to buy ETH. We currently support multiple spot trading zones, including USDT, TRY, and crypto.Spot markets operate 24/7 with real-time price updates, allowing you to trade at any time. Spot trade opening time for newly listed coins will be based on the official announcement.

How do I conduct fund transfers?

Before you start spot trading, you need to transfer funds from your funding account to your trading account.

  • Open your OKX app

  • Go to Assets > Transfer

  • Select the asset (for example, USDT)

  • Select (From) Funding account > (To) Trading account

  • Enter the amount > Confirm

How do I buy crypto?

Use Dogecoin (DOGE) as an example:

  • Open your OKX app > Trade (tap twice) > Spot

  • Search for DOGE/USDT trading pair

  • Select Buy > Limit order

  • Enter the amount and quantity you wish to buy

  • Select Buy DOGE to confirm your order


Note:

  • After placing an order, you can manage it in the order section and set risk controls such as take profit or stop loss.

  • Your order will be filled when the market price reaches your set price.

How do I sell crypto?

Use Dogecoin (DOGE) as an example:

  • Open your OKX app > Trade (tap twice) > Spot

  • Search for DOGE/USDT trading pair

  • Select Sell > Limit order

  • Enter the amount and quantity you wish to sell

  • Select Sell DOGE > Confirm

Note:

  • After selling in the spot market, your assets remain on the platform. You can transfer them back from your trading account to your funding account if you wish to withdraw or convert them using supported payment methods.

  • Some crypto have minimum trade amounts. Orders below the minimum can't be executed.

How do I view trading information?

View chartsSelect the chart button to open the candlestick (K-line) chart. You can adjust indicators and time intervals and review depth and recent trades.View order bookThe order book displays current buy and sell orders:

  • Red area: sell orders

  • Green area: buy orders

View order historyYou can view open orders, order history, positions, and assets in the orders section.Select All to view your open orders (orders that haven't been filled yet) and order history ( includes completed and canceled orders). You can also view details such as order time, trading pair, and volume.
